Ack! This is a tough one to troubleshoot. First, you could just have funky wireless hardware. My Macbook Pro (first gen) has problems with certain wireless routers and no amount of updates from Apple seem to completely fix the problem.
If you’ve updated your wireless drivers you’re doing well, but have you considered updating the firmware on your wireless router? Sometimes that can do the trick.
You might also try disconnecting every other device from the network and see if you still have connection problems. I won’t pretend to understand all the magic that happens inside a standard household wi-fi router, but there could be a conflict between devices that is confusing the router, causing it to drop your connection.
